Dry Eyes

Dry Eyes can cause discomfort, burning, irritation, watering, redness and itchiness of the eyes. These symptoms are typically caused by factors including air conditioning, reduced blinking with digital device use, weather conditions, contact lenses, ageing and hormonal changes.

Dry Eyes are caused by an evaporation of the tear film layer or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (the glands in the eyelids produce the tears) or in most cases, a combination of the two.

Your Optometrist will recommend a treatment plan for your dry eyes so that improved tear film stability and comfort can be restored. Treatment can include multiple in room options as well as drops, supplements and hot compressors.
